This research will be conducted in southern Brazil, beginning with the state of Paraná. The region is commonly associated with gun-related traditions rooted in local heritage, particularly among Polish, Italian, and German communities. Examining people’s relationships with firearms in this context makes it possible to focus on recreational shooting practices, moving beyond an exclusive association between guns and violence.
